Santa Fe (cont'd)-Frisbee!

The afternoon after Ricky entered my life, despite the pain and slight nervousness of the water I hit the beach again. Brilliant Serene brought her frisbee. At first it came in handy to scoop away jellyfish - which were beautiful - black, white - incredible. A little boy made friend with us as he crouched over to see why these two crazies were feeling these jellies, and pulling things from inside of them. They had five legged aliens.

Shortly after some other boys with crabs joined teh fun as Reen encouraged them to have the crabs attack our gelatonous friends as they lay grasping for life.

And then! The real fun began . . . Reen and I started tossing the frisbee with teh two little gents and moments later we had a following of at least 10 kids.

The were so excited and so energetic. One little girl dove from teh beach into the water and raed and tackled in order to get it and anotehr little girl - 5 - was so cute. She didn't reach it first very often so I tried to make sure I threw it right to her every now and then. A few minutes later a little boy came with a lapu-lapu fish he'd speared on a stick and was joking around trying to get me to buy it saying 'Lapu-Lapu- one peso'. WHen I told Sernee she picked up the 5 year old and jokingly said - 'no - Lapu-Lapu 5 pasos!' to which the poor frightened kid responded with attack and fled from her.

Just before leaving we met a group of girls who became Serene's posse. I won't say much more about that except that the next day we were invited in to meet one of the girl's mom and sisters - a nice treat! :)
